My name is Chris Hobbick. I've spent 15+ years working in enterprise technology — most of that time helping organizations and small businesses sort out the messy reality of their digital systems.

About eight years ago, several of my IT consulting clients reached out for help with a difficult situation. They'd lost a loved one and didn't know the passwords to their phone, their computer, their accounts, or their email. Watching families try to reassemble a digital life from scratch — with no map, no instructions, and no one alive who knew — was one of the saddest, most preventable problems I'd ever encountered in technology.

I noticed two things while helping them.

First, almost nobody is organized. Even successful, capable people have passwords on sticky notes, accounts they've forgotten about, and systems only they understand. The chaos isn't unusual — it's universal.

Second, the existing tools didn't solve this. Password managers store credentials, but they're built for the living user, not for the person who'll need to access them later. Estate planning software handles wills and trusts, but ignores everything digital. There was no tool built specifically for the moment a family says, "We need to figure out what mom had, and we need to do it now."

So I started building one.

Later, I spent three-plus years at Dashlane — one of the most respected enterprise security companies in the world — helping CISOs and IT teams understand the trade-offs of zero-knowledge architecture. That experience shaped how Trust Blocks is built. Most people in this category brag about cryptographic perfection. We didn't, because we believe a digital legacy product should help families recover access to what matters — not lock them out forever because they forgot a password.

Trust Blocks is owned by First-Rate Tech Corp., the company I founded. FRTC is a Wyoming C-Corp, and my daughter is named to inherit it. Trust Blocks isn't a venture-backed startup chasing an exit. It's a family business solving a family problem, designed to be here long after I am.
